FCPS-I Application: Fee, Refund Rule and e-Portal Deadlines From the 2026 Notification

CPSP's sitting notifications contain the financial and procedural rules that candidates most often get wrong: how to pay, when a refund is possible, and which requests the college will even read. This article summarises those rules from the January 2026 FCPS-I notification, which is the current reference for the online examination; each sitting's notification can vary in dates and amounts, so check the one for your sitting before paying.

The fee

  • Examination fee Rs 25,000 plus Rs 50 handling, total Rs 25,050 for the 2026 notification.
  • Payment: at any Meezan Bank branch in Pakistan, or online by debit or credit card. The notification states that bank drafts and pay orders are not acceptable.
  • Pay before step 2. The online application has two steps: registration (PMC number for fresh candidates, enrolment number for repeaters, email confirmation and a verification code), then the form itself with PDF uploads. The fee must be paid before the second step.

Deadlines

Each notification lists three dates: the last date at the prescribed fee, a late-fee date and an additional-late-fee date, with separate windows for fresh and repeat candidates. The January 2026 notification followed that pattern; the exact dates and late-fee amounts for a sitting are in its own notification. A missed additional-late-fee date means the next sitting, and with a maximum of three sittings a year, missing one is not trivial.

The refund rule

  • No refund after the withdrawal deadline.
  • 75 per cent refund (excluding any late fee) if a withdrawal is received by the deadline, or if CPSP rejects the application for ineligibility.
  • Refund requests go through the e-Portal only.

The practical lesson: confirm eligibility before paying. The house job must be complete at least one month before the exam date, PM&DC registration must be valid, and the degree must be registered; an ineligible application still forfeits a quarter of the fee.

Requests the college will and will not accept

Refund, subject-change and centre-change requests must be submitted through the e-Portal. The notification states that hard-copy and email requests are not accepted. Candidates who email the examination department about a centre change and wait for a reply are waiting for nothing.

Admit cards and results

Eligible candidates download admit cards from their e-Portal account; the card carries the exact date and session, since the examination may run over two or three days. Results are displayed on the candidate's e-Portal account. There is no separate admit-card email to wait for.

A pre-payment checklist

  1. House job completion date at least one month before the exam date.
  2. Valid PM&DC registration or renewal receipt, and the provisional registration certificate, scanned as PDFs.
  3. Subject group decided (changes later go through the portal and carry deadlines).
  4. Centre city decided, from the list in the notification.
  5. Fee paid by an accepted method, with the receipt saved.
  6. Application submitted before the prescribed-fee date, not the additional-late-fee date.

What this means for you

Money is lost in FCPS-I applications through avoidable errors: paying before checking eligibility, missing the prescribed-fee window, and sending requests to the wrong channel. Read the sitting's notification once, slowly, before paying. FAME's FCPS-1 section carries each sitting's key dates as CPSP publishes them.

Two questions candidates ask

Can I pay by bank draft or pay order? No. The notification states that bank drafts and pay orders are not acceptable; payment is at a Meezan Bank branch or online by debit or credit card, and it must be completed before the second step of the online application.

What if CPSP rejects my application as ineligible? The notification provides a 75 per cent refund, excluding any late fee, when the college rejects an application for ineligibility, requested through the e-Portal. The remaining quarter is lost, which is the cost of not checking eligibility first.
